Delete branch "fix-feed-channel-names"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
The quotes and announcements feeds point at Zulip channels that were renamed, so all four feed URLs return 502 and the /announcements page shows "couldn't load announcements right now".
The feeds look up their channel by name on every refresh:
.offtopic, but the channel is nowofftopic.announcements, but the channel is nownews.Zulip answers both old names with "Invalid channel name", the refresh fails, and the handler returns
feed temporarily unavailable. The monolith itself is up. Only the channel lookup fails. This changes the two channel names. Nothing else changes:
offtopicstill has thequotestopic, andnewsholds the announcement threads. After merge
gitops deploys it. The config change restarts the monolith VM. To check, open https://dma.space/api/feeds/announcements.json and https://dma.space/api/feeds/quotes.atom. Both should return 200, and https://dma.space/announcements should list posts again.
Later
Any future rename of these channels breaks the feeds the same way. Letting the feed config take a channel ID, which doesn't change on rename, would stop that. That's a monolith change, so it's not part of this PR.
